The short version

This site sets no cookies and runs no tracking or advertising scripts. We don't sell or rent anyone's information, ever.

Server logs

Our hosting provider automatically records standard request information, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We don't use these logs to identify or profile visitors.

What this site stores

If you switch between the light and dark themes, your choice is saved in your own browser's local storage. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.

If you subscribe or join (when these open)

• The newsletter: your email address is held by our newsletter provider, so it can send you posts. You can unsubscribe from any email.
• Premium membership: payments are handled by our payment provider. We never see or store your card details. We receive what we need to run your membership: your name or handle, your email and your subscription status.
• Email to us: if you write to us, we keep the conversation so we can reply.

How we use it

Only to send what you signed up for, run your membership, and answer you. We use service providers for email and payments, and they process your data on our behalf under their own privacy terms.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailingteam@practical-wisdom.org. We keep data only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as the law requires.

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
